This song was not on the orginal "Dreamtime Live" video or album release, but cropped up on the 90s Canadian CD/Video boxset that featured all of the songs from the gig.

Another clip from the Dreamtimwe Live at the Lyceum video. Those old and sad enough to remember will know this wasn't on the live album that came free with Dreamtime but was on the B-side of the "Go West" 12 inch single. Much better version than the Death Cult studio effort in my opinion.

From the legendary "Dreamtime Live At The Lyceum" video, this was the final song of the set.
As an age old follower of the Hawklords I have to say “Lord of Light” is one ☝️ of the best of the best
I believe Angels of Death are sent to seek out distorted souls
Pity Astbury didn’t stick with the original Southern Death Cult lineup. Abandoned them too soon.
Monumental performance period. 💗
My Hawkwind set my mind free right out there with the planets 🪐 and the ✨ stars
Interesting version. I prefer the other one but it’s cool to hear this one too.
You can tell that they understand the theories of music their songs adhere to the true rules of music making listening a joyful experience one sequence flows effortlessly in to the next one
The brilliant underrated band called cactus world news singing world's apart year's later on whistle from the town and Country club kentish town north London from the album urban beaches mca records mcg 6005 broadcast 29th of April 1986 al
Sorry but I have to ask where’s the great man himself-Lemmy?
Stunning performance. Their best lineup, IMHO.
Wow sobraooooooooo temazooooooooooooooo
good....................
I love my Hawkwind. They keep me sane.
Best time apart from southern death cult
Bought the VHS the day it was released. Still have it and still watch it. The live album is great, but if you can get the japanese import, it has all the songs the they played
Billy is so good on this. What a shame that he ended up being a mediocre rock player when he was so great at doing this style.
ahh yes. it was a gig i was at.
Canzone stupenda. Dopo questa molte altre l'hanno seguita...
Ian Astbury was the idol of my later teens. However, I prefer having him singing with a British accent.
The Cult ❤ best band EVER bar none! Consistently unique and ahead of their time IMHO! Oh and Ian so beautiful and talented! His smile, his beautiful face 😍 I absolutely adore this man 😍
The drummer is incredible. Great live performance.
Nigel Preston R.I.P best drummer they ever had 😢💔
Love this song. And Bad Bones
Very nice with some ace syncing of the images, esp toward the end & at least one photo I've never seen before.
Class album. Great band....too bad they didn't continue.
Girl in audience to friend: "Quick! Give me your pen and a piece of Paper!!" "CaN I PlEaSe HaVe YoUr BaNdAiD??!?"
1977. Skippy and me cruising, Hawkwind. PBR, sincimilian!
is there anyone who loves this great OPERA in 2023?
this song was always a personal favorite of mine. who is the young women singing backup?
Fantastic 🎶 song🙏but IAN … HAIRSTYLES, no so great⁉️Dance Rock with you😻💋
I’m like, extraordinary voice IAN🙏Culte is CULT 💋Great generation, my generation👋😹
One of my favorite tracks. They were just as good as early U2
Bad Medicine Watlz is beyond epic. The entire Live at the Lyceum blows my mind.
one of my absolute guilty pleasures - i LOVE this song
I remember listening to this live album non stop at the time. Then I went with a bunch of mates to see them in Norwich in 1985, a month or so before they released 'She Sells Sanctuary'. I honestly thought they were the best thing I'd ever seen or heard, I thought Billy was a magician on that guitar. Great days :)
2022 and still loving this era. The Love album still sounds fresh.
The interviewer is sitting on the roof interviewing the bass player as if he wanted his nuts sucked - what's wrong with this guy?
When they were actually a band with Nigel and Jamie Stewart. Not like the crap they are today Ian and Billy with hired guns. Since Sonic Temple when Jamie Stewart left they have become mono tone, bland, boring, mediocre, and talentless. 1986 Love tour was great and 30 year tour was great as Jamie and Nigel came out and did Sanctuary and Love with them. But the Cults just got nothing in tbem anymore. Washed up old has been and finished.
You have absolutely no clue. The Cult have been and are Ian and Billy from day 1. Preston was an addict who lost his life to addiction. Stewart left the band on his own accord in 1990. Stop living in the past. You're out of your mind if you think Nigel and Stewart made the band. LMFAO! Their new album drops this October '22
@@ericrincon545 Did Peel have a clue, because he had the same opinion of the band's music after they shortened the name. i.e after 1983.
@@krasteff Nope. No clue either. New album drops this Friday. Their new music sounds great.
@@ericrincon545 I think he was right, he last played them in May 1985.
@@krasteff So he only liked them for about 6 months, almost 40 years ago? Why does that matter if he did? Do you only listen to music John Peel likes?
Oh wow! I adore these guys! The best band EVER IMHO! They always deliver! They are up there with The Doors for me! ❤❤💖💖
Both versions in my humble opinion are equal.
🐰🕳️
Always wanted to know who Michelle was/is! Perfect song.
Michelle was Billy Duffys girlfriend at the time as well as being lead singer of the band 'look back in Anger'
justCult!..
Great choice having Cyndi Lauper sing backup on this one.
Best part is when Ian opens the note and gets bubble gum or something all over his hand. The second best part is the exceptional bass playing. It's almost being played like a 6 string guitar. So original and extremely talented.
It was a fans note requesting the band aid off of his right thumb, YUK! He chucks the note down and peels off the band aid and passes it to the fan for a keepsake of Ian. Throughout the rest of the song he licks the blood off his unhealed wound and wipes his thumb down his face. He later picks up and pockets the fans note for his own keepsake. I wonder if he still had that note today, or if the fan still still has the soiled band aid today. YUK!
Brilliant 👏 👏 👏 👏
I think I saw them at "The Seaside Festival,La PANNE,BELGIQUE" with the Cameleons,... ,and The Cure to finished this Beautiful Day.But don't ask me the Year,...
Such a great version of the Southern Death Cult original. Nigel's drumming, Jamie's tight bass playing and Billy's powerful guitar work give the song so much more urgency. Brilliant performance from Ian too. "Time for bed everybody"

Great gig I remember it well I was 17 years old and it was the 2nd time I'd seen them live 👍
